Santa, Please?

There are no affiliate links in this post. Just things + brands that I love. Now that we've gotten that out of the way...

Hope everyone had a restful and wonderful Thanksgiving. I took photos of my feast. They are on my camera, so we all know that I won't get around to uploading them until 2013. Overall, we had a great low key Thanksgiving here and I didn't burn down the house, so I would call it successful as well.

Now that Thanksgiving is over (don't get me wrong, it really is one of my favorite holidays), I can resume my Christmas talk without anyone throwing stones. My Mom, bless her little heart, still thinks I'm five and still wants to play Santa. She insists that I make her a list every year and she doesn't take no for an answer. I'm not one for disobeying my Mom, so I drafted up my list this weekend and at first, it wasn't easy. I don't need much. I don't want much (in fact, I'm trying to simplify my life - another blog post for another time) and the things I DO ask for, I have to figure out how to get on the airplane. #firstworldproblems

So with some thought and researching, I came up with the following for my list. If your parents are like mine and refuse to believe that their "kids" have grown up, hopefully some of my ideas will help you out.

- Euca-Lyptus Origins Organic Standard Pillowcase (Set of 2) from Bed, Bath, and Beyond

pillowcases

I splurged on these sheets a few months ago and I'm undeniably in love. Even Brandon, who is usually oblivious to these things, says these sheets are amazing. Also, they do not wrinkle, so I don't have to iron my sheets anymore! What? You don't iron your sheets?

- Fly Ties and Fly Bands by Fine Featherhead

fly ties

I saw these featured on blog and I need them! I wear the Goody hair ties and bands right now and each time I take them off, I rip out a hand full of hair (gross). These guys are supposed to prevent that and well, they are kind of sparkly, so who can resist?

- Women's Jersey Tamis by Old Navy

old navy tami

I already own a closet full of these tamis but I cannot get enough. The jersey knit is very comfy and soft and unlike the ribbed ones from ON, these do not tend to stretch out with wear. So so comfy. And cheap. Love.

- Pure Body V Neck Tees by GAP

Just as I cannot get enough of the ON tamis, the same is said for these GAP Pure Body tees. They are extremely comfy, do not stretch or look frumpy and are one of my favorite staples. They look super cute under cardigans or with a fun scarf.

- Shower Radio by Sangean via Amazon

shower radio

Have you guys ever had a shower radio? I had one in college and why I haven't gotten another one since is beyond me. I  love listening to the radio in the shower. And unlike my college shower radio, this one is actually really nice and probably picks up more than one station.

- Vintage Travel Wall Calendar by Anthropolgie

calendar

I know. This is pretty pricey ($22) for a wall calendar, but I use my wall calendar at my desk all the time and a fun wall calendar just makes my hours at the office a tad bit more enjoyable, which is priceless if you ask me.

So once I got going, coming up with a list for Santa (cough, Mom, cough), was pretty easy. I have a few more things which you can find here.

But more importantly, I need to know what YOU are asking for from your special Santa this year. Do your parents still make you write lists?

  1. I LOVE pretty calendars. For the past few years, I've been getting Jonathan Adler wall calendars for my cube from Paper Source. They have such fun and bright graphics to cheer up my dreary space. I wish I ironed my sheets, but...I'm too lazy. haha.

  2. Oh my goodness you iron your sheets!? You crack me up and I love it! I think you would be in shock at the state of my sheets/bed...I rarely make it until I'm actually going to bed. Weird right?

I like the idea for a blog post Christmas list..I might have to do that because my grandma and parents ALWAYS ask for a list. And every year I forget the things I thought I'd ask for for Christmas earlier in the year and just say "um...giftcards?"

    Happy late Thanksgiving friend! :)

  3. I am supposed to come up with 2 lists... so far I've got nothing!
I love that you iron your sheets!! I don't iron ANYTHING. If it is wrinkled.. I put it in the dryer. If that doesn't take care of it... I get something else out

I have NO idea what to ask for...probably cold weather running gear. Although what I really want is a magic wand to make it not cold outside. Because no matter how bundled up I may be, I don't want to step foot out the door if I feel even a slight gust of chill.

A pro for moving to Costa Rica?
